One of the first hotels I booked for our trip to Japan and I booked a double. I later found out that it is better to book twin rooms as they are generally a bit more spacious. The bed was against the wall meaning one person has to climb over the other or try to squeeze between the end of the bed and the wall - not very convenient for night time trips to the bathroom. Like many other hotels the check in was supposed to be automated but there were very nice reception staff on hand to do it for us. Not sure why they bother with this although maybe the Japanese guests have no trouble with the machines like we did. Like most Japanese hotels a very high standard of facilities and services such as bathrobes and umbrellas - very useful as it seemed to rain a lot when we were there. As mentioned above the room was quite small and with only chair which for a double room is my pet hate as one person has no option other than to sit on the bed. OK if you are young but a recipe for a sore back for us oldies. Breakfast was an available option but we didn't take it so can't really comment. Location was good. A ten minute walk from Central Station or two minutes from the nearest JR station ( Hatchoburi - not 100% sure of the spelling ) and with several convenience stores within a couple of hundred metres. There was also an excellent Thai restaurant ( Akka ) about a five minute walk from the hotel.

Hotel was conveniently located in between two stations about 5 to 10 minutes away. Staff service was great, allowing for luggage storage before check in and even sent the luggage to the room before check in. The staff were also able to communicate in fluent English and were clear in explaining the amenities of the hotel. Staff was amenable and made us feel welcomed. Hotel room was spacious for its price. We were able to store the luggage and have enough walking space. A special point for the hotel, they have a small reading corner with manga and allows for guests to bring to their rooms.

Good location to subway and train stations - 15 min or less walk to Tokyo station with 3 subway stations a 5 min walk away. Quiet neighborhood, kind and efficient staff, room and hotel at large was quite clean. Nice amenities for your room with vending and ice on the main floor. Elevators were quick and clean as well. The room was on the smaller size for western standards but just fine for Tokyo. Bathroom was quite large with a traditional deep soaking tub and fast flow faucets. Beds and bedding was comfortable with a good number of plugs both electric and USB.

The breakfast was very good, superb coffee and croissants. The location is excellent. The staff were all very efficient and friendly. After check in (more of below) later in the day we asked for extra pillows and top sheets, met with a prompt and efficient reply and both quickly delivered to the room. Beds are very comfortable. The room is small but efficient use of space. Could use some extra hooks in various places for clothes

Room had ample room for 1 person, the bathroom was very spacious. Although in a quieter part of Tokyo meaning it would take a couple trains to get to Shibuya/Shinjuku, I liked how quiet it was at night. Lots of local chain restaurants around that didn't have long lines to eat at. Rooms were very clean and towels were changed daily (beds remade every 4 days). Coin washing machine is convenient for longer stays.
